Delete your account

Applies to the MedFish app on iOS and Android.

You can delete your MedFish account and its data yourself, at any time, from inside the app. You do not need to contact us and you do not need to give a reason.

In the app

• Open MedFish and sign in.
• Go to the Profile tab.
• Open Settings.
• Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
• Confirm. You will be asked twice, because this cannot be undone.

What is deleted

• Your account and sign-in credentials
• Your profile — username, display name, bio, avatar, home port
• Your catches, including photos
• Your saved spots and their coordinates
• Your messages
• Your likes, comments and badges
• Your shop listing and inventory, if you operate a shop

What is kept, and why

• Transaction records — where tax and accounting law requires us to retain them. These are kept for the legally required period and are not used for anything else.
• Content you gave to others — if another angler paid for access to one of your spots, that record is retained so their purchase remains valid.
• Anonymised statistics — aggregate counts that cannot identify you.

If you cannot sign in

If you have lost access to your account, email privacy@medfish.online from the address you registered with, and include your username. We will verify the request and delete the account within 30 days.
